wash warm, like colors

my favorite things to do
are walk in my underwear
and not be afraid.
both are mutually exclusive
and can be considered
states of being.
one i do not think about
wanting to do, the other
i must want
to keep doing.
if effort is a measure of success,
i am always searching and not
searching, feeling and not
feeling, hoping when i should be
praying that it feels right
even when it just
got out of the shower.
